Twilight series...opinions please?

Twilight series...opinions please?
ok so i am about halfway done with the first book and i like it A LOT so what do you think of them?

I enjoyed them, but for petes sake they are so overrated! And yes, I have valid reasons. brbrFor starters they arent well written. Too many cliches, purple prose, and fluffy adjectives that she uses too many times. How many times do you read of Edwards body. Its always quotwhitequot, quotcoolquot, and quotmarblequot. brSecond, I hate how the vampires sparkle. I know the Cullens arent evil, but for the rest of them that are, it really detracts from their evilness. Id die laughing if I was being mauled to death by a sparkling fairyboy. brThirdly, Meyer paints Edward as perfection. Hes not, too much angst and stalker in him. And this perfection is boring. Give me a sinloaded character with real flaws any day over goody twoshoes Cullen boy. brbrAnd I admit, the fan girls really get on my nerves. Especially on Answers, because they ask the same questions twenty times a day. But Ill end on a positive note. Ill tell you why I liked Twilight. Im a sucker for romance books. Im the girl who collects engagement stories. I could give you tons right now. Plus, it was an easy read. With my busy life, an easy read is a nice break. And it is a happygolucky book. Normally I prefer books that have a deep meaning, Twilight obviously has none, but a book where everything is too good to be true is alright once in a while. brbrHey, you asked for my opinion!brbrMerry Christmas!
