At the end of the day, it is the ultimate tale of forbidden love. A vampire falls for a human girl, and struggles with the part of him that wants to kill her, and the part of him that wants to love her forever. The books have an interesting take on vampires, but honestly if it werent for the occasional reminder you would forget he was a supposedly dangerous quotmonster,quot he is very gentle and humanlike. I warn you though, if you read it, and you like it, they can get a bit addictive.
